Did a Cubs fan get a glimpse of the future in 1993? Is it ESP, sheer luck, or a bit of movie magic?

Apparently, in his senior year picture at Mission Viejo High School, Michael Lee wrote: “Chicago Cubs. 2016 World Series Champions. You heard it here first.”

The Cubs, who just made it to the World Series for the first time since 1945 (they haven’t won the Series since 1908), may very well prove the man right. If so, it would be an uncanny prediction for a year already soaked in synchronicity. The film Back to the Future 2 worked into its plot the Cubs winning the series, too (with a caveat). It would be interesting to know whether Lee saw the film, which was made in 1989.

Now we just have to wait and see whether the Cubs actually win the Series. Check out these threads on Twitter and Reddit to follow the story.
